How To Make Italian Sausage Pasta

Peppery Italian sausage, herby tomatoes, tender penne pasta, and tangy tomato sauce are cooked in 1 skillet for a mouthwatering sausage pasta.

  • ¾ lb Italian pork sausage
  • cups water
  • 14½ oz Hunt's® Diced Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic and Oregano, (1 can), undrained
  • 1 cup Hunt's® Tomato Sauce
  • 8 oz dry penne pasta, uncooked
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese


  1. Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage; cook for 5 minutes, breaking apart with a spoon to crumble. Drain; return to skillet.

  2. Add water, undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, and pasta to skillet; stir to combine. Bring to a boil. Cover; reduce heat and cook for 15 minutes or until pasta is tender.

  3. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

  4. Serve with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired. Enjoy!
