How To Make Creamy Tomato Pasta Bake
For this delightfully easy casserole, Italian seasoning brings out the best tastes within the marinara sauce for this tomato pasta bake with heavy cream.

Ingredients
- 1lbpenne,or rigatoni
- 1tbspolive oil
- ½onion,diced
- 2clovesgarlic,minced
- 1tsp*Italian seasoning,(see Recipe Notes for recipe)
- ⅔cupheavy cream
- 24oz*marinara sauce,(see Recipe Notes for recipe), or pasta sauce
- 14½ozpetite diced tomatoes,drained
- 2cupsmozzarella cheese,shredded
- 2tbspfresh basil,or parsley
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Cook pasta in salted water al dente according to the package directions and drain.

Meanwhile, heat oil in a medium saucepan. Add onion and cook until tender. Stir in garlic and Italian seasoning and cook for 1 minute or until fragrant.

Add cream, tomatoes, and marinara sauce. Simmer for 2 minutes.

Place pasta in a 9×13-inch pan. Add sauce and toss to combine.

Top with shredded cheese and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until hot and cheese is bubbly.

Remove from the oven, cool 5 minutes and top with fresh herbs.

Serve warm and enjoy.
