How To Make Twice-Cooked Broccoli

This easy broccoli recipe is made with just 5 ingredients, and whips up a side that’s soft and tender on the inside, and crisp and crunchy on the outside!

Ingredients

  • 2medium broccoli heads
  • salt
  • ¼cupextra-virgin olive oil,plus 3 tbsp
  • 2garlic cloves
  • freshly ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring a large saucepan of salted water to a boil. Add the broccoli and cook for about 2 minutes just until bright green. Drain, shaking off any excess water.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet until shimmering. Add the garlic and cook over moderately high heat for about 1 minute, until fragrant, but not browned.

  3. Add the broccoli and cook, stirring, for 3 to 4 minutes, until crisp-tender. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Serve warm, and enjoy!
