How To Make Skillet Sesame Chicken and Broccoli

Fill your belly up with this hearty and savory sesame chicken and broccoli, that’s tossed and lusciously coated in a sweet-tangy sauce, for a tasty meal!

  • 4medium chicken breasts,boneless skinless, chopped into 1½-inch pieces
  • 4tbspcorn starch
  • 2cupsbroccoli florets,steamed or boiled until just tender

For Sauce:

  • 6tbsphoney
  • 4tbspketchup
  • 3tbspsugar
  • 1tbspbrown sugar
  • 2tbspwhite vinegar
  • 3tbspsoy sauce
  • 1tspgarlic powder
  • 2tbspcold water
  • 2tbspcorn starch
  • sesame seeds,for topping


  1. Combine the chicken and 4 tablespoons of corn starch in a large resealable bag and shake to coat.

  2. Whisk together the honey, ketchup, sugar, brown sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic powder and set aside.

  3. Drizzle a pan with oil and add the chicken. Sauté over medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes until browned.

  4. Add the broccoli and pour the sauce over the top. Continue to stir over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes longer until chicken is cooked through.

  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the cold water and corn starch. Add to pan and stir until the sauce thickens.

  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, serve, and enjoy!
