Whip up a belly-filling dish for dinner with this easy rice bowls recipe! It’s packed with tender beef, ginger, and a sweet-spicy coating over the rice.

Ingredients

  • 1lblean ground beef,90% lean
  • 3clovesgarlic,minced
  • ¼cupbrown sugar,packed
  • ¼cupsoy sauce,reduced sodium
  • 2tspsesame oil
  • ¼tspground ginger
  • ¼tspred pepper flakes,crushed
  • ¼tsppepper
  • 2cupswhite rice,or brown, hot, cooked

For Garnish:

  • green onions,sliced
  • sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and garlic, breaking it into crumbles over medium heat until no longer pink.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes and pepper. Pour over the ground beef and let simmer for another 1 or 2 minutes.

  3. Serve over hot rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
