How To Make Fried Peppers, Onions, and Sausage with Port Balsamic Vinegar
This pan-fried and skillet meal is a summertime favorite. Sweet Italian sausage is sautéed with garlic, onions, and peppers coated with balsamic vinegar that makes a healthy and delicious dish for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 6 large red bell peppers, cut into strips
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp O Olive Oil's Port Balsamic Vinegar
- salt
- pepper
- 2 lbs Italian sweet sausage
Instructions

Heat oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat.

Add peppers, onions, garlic, and balsamic vinegar and saute approximately for 10 minutes.

Cover and cook until tender for about 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook sausages in another heavy large skillet over medium heat until brown and cooked through, turning occasionally for about 15 minutes.

Transfer to a platter.

Surround with peppers.

Sprinkle a little more O Olive Oils Balsamic Vinegar on top and serve.
