This cheesy chicken bacon ranch recipe offers a crispy-fried dish that's topped with ranch seasoning and melted mozzarella.

  • 4 slices bacon, thick-cut
  • 4 chicken breasts, (about 1¾ lbs) boneless, skinless
  • kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tsp ranch seasoning
  • cups mozzarella, shredded
  • chives, chopped, for garnish


  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon, flipping once, for about 8 minutes until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Drain all but 2 tablespoons of bacon fat from the skillet.

  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Return skillet to medium-high heat, add chicken, and cook for about 6 minutes per side until golden and just cooked through.

  3. Reduce heat to medium and sprinkle chicken with ranch seasoning and top with mozzarella. Cover the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes per side until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  4. Crumble and sprinkle bacon and chives on top before serving. Enjoy!
