How To Make Brussels Sprouts in Alfredo Sauce

Give these crunchy brussels sprouts a creamy makeover by cooking them in alfredo sauce and mixing in some crispy bacon bits.

Ingredients

  • 6ozbacon,chopped
  • 2lbsbrussels sprouts,trimmed and halved
  • 1garlic clove,minced
  • cupswhipping cream
  • 1tbsplemon juice,freshly squeezed
  • cupparmesan cheese,shredded
  • ¾tspsalt,or to taste
  • ¼tspblack pepper

Instructions

  1. Place a large deep skillet or Dutch oven or medium heat. Add 6 ounces of chopped bacon and cook until browned. Remove bacon to a plate, keeping 3 tablespoons of bacon fat in the pan.

  2. Add trimmed and halved brussels sprouts and season with salt and black pepper. Cover and stir occasionally 8 to 9 minutes or until tender and lightly browned.

  3. Add minced garlic and stir for 1 minute until fragrant. Add whipping cream and bring to a simmer.

  4. Stir in lemon juice, then sprinkle the top with parmesan cheese. Stir to combine and season to taste. Bring just to a simmer then remove from heat.

  5. Serve garnished with reserved bacon.
