How To Make Brisket Beer and Bean Chili

Cooked in beer and tomato sauce, this bean chili comes with the savory flavors of brisket and bacon, plus jalapeno and cumin for a bit of a kick.

Ingredients

  • 2tbspvegetable oil
  • 1red onion,diced
  • 1jalapeno,minced
  • 15ozkidney beans,drained and rinsed
  • 30ozpinto beans,drained and rinsed
  • 3cupsbrisket,cooked and chopped
  • 4slicesbacon,cooked and chopped
  • 12ozbeer
  • 8oztomato sauce
  • 2tbspketchup
  • 3tbspchili powder
  • 1tbspcumin
  • 1tbspWorcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Add oil to a large cast-iron skillet on medium-high heat.

  2. Add red onion and jalapeño and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until translucent, stirring occasionally.

  3. Add in kidney beans, pinto beans, brisket, bacon, beer, tomato sauce, ketchup, chili powder, cumin, and Worcestershire sauce.

  4. Stir well and bring to a boil, then reduce to medium heat (stirring occasionally) and cook for 1 hour until thickened.
