How To Make Sweet & Sour Meatloaf

A twist to the classic meatloaf dish brought forth by tomato sauce, mustard, and brown sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb. ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. onion soup mix
  • 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • cup oatmeal

Topping Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. tomato soup
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Mix the ground beef, eggs, tomato sauce, oatmeal, salt, pepper, and the onion soup mix.
  2. In a casserole dish, bake at 350 for 50 minutes.
  3. For topping, mix ingredients together well.
  4. Bring to a boil in a saucepan.
  5. Pour over the baked meatloaf and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
