How To Make Meatloaf With Chili Sauce

Lovers of spicy food will appreciate this meatloaf with chili recipe. It’s loaded with all the classic flavors and upgraded with a nice spicy kick.

  • ½cupmilk
  • 4slicesandwich bread
  • lbsground sirloin
  • lbsground pork
  • 2small onions
  • 6clovegarlic
  • ½cupchili sauce
  • 1cupfresh parsley,chopped
  • ½cupparmesan cheese,grated
  • 2large eggs
  • coarse salt and ground pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, with rack in center. In a large bowl, pour milk over bread; let soak for about 30 seconds. Add sirloin, pork, onion, garlic, chili sauce, parsley, Parmesan, eggs, salt, and pepper.

  2. Use hands to mix until combined; do not overmix or meatloaf will be dense. Divide mixture in half. Gently pat each half into a log, and place each log in an 8½x4½-inch loaf pan. Do not press down or into corners.

  3. Bake 50 minutes. Brush tops of loaves with ¼ cup chili sauce; continue cooking for about 10 minutes, until juices run clear and an instant-read thermometer inserted into thickest part registers 160 degrees F.

  4. Remove from oven; let rest 5 minutes. Turn loaves out of pans; slice each into eight ¾-inch-thick slices.
