How To Make Quarter Pounder With Cheese

Recreate the quarter pounder with cheese using this easy recipe that yields a juicy patty topped with a cheesy finish.

Ingredients

  • 200 g lean steak, minced
  • 1 onion, minced
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 sesame seed buns
  • 4 cheese singles
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp American mustard
  • 1 handful dill pickles, small

Instructions

  1. In bowl combine the mince, half the onion, salt and pepper. Mix well with hands. Press the mixture onto a chopping board and using an egg ring or large scone cutter, cut out 2 burgers.

  2. Heat a frypan with a little oil and pan fry the burgers until cooked. While this is happening, slice the burger buns then toast lightly under a grill.

  3. On the base bun spread half a tablespoon each of ketchup and mustard. Repeat with the top bun.

  4. When burgers are cooked - place a slice of cheese on the base, top with a burger and then another slice of cheese. Add the pickles and remaining onions. Top with the burger lid.

  5. Serve and enjoy!
