How To Make Fried Cabbage and Bacon

Our keto-friendly fried cabbage is loaded with tasteful bacon and seasonings for a flavorful side-dish. Whip this up in just under an hour.

  • 6bacon slices,chopped
  • 1onion,diced
  • 2garlic cloves,minced or chopped
  • 1large green cabbage,head, or red, cored and sliced
  • 1tspchicken bouillon,or seasoned salt
  • salt and cracked black pepper,to taste
  • ½tsponion powder
  • ½tspgarlic powder
  • ¼tspcajun seasoning,or smoky paprika


  1. Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy.

  2. Transfer bacon to a plate with a slotted spoon. Do not discard the bacon drippings.

  3. Sauté the onion in the bacon grease for 8 minutes until the onion caramelizes.

  4. Add the garlic, then cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  5. Stir in the cabbage, then cook for a further 8 minutes while stirring occasionally.

  6. Season with bouillon, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper and Cajun seasoning.

  7. Mix the bacon into the cabbage to warm through.

  8. Serve, and enjoy!
