How To Make Easy Fried Shrimp

Here’s an easy appetizer that will surely be a hit! This fried shrimp is breaded with simple seasonings then deep-fried to a crispy, golden snack.

Ingredients

  • 2lbsjumbo shrimp,devein and peel, but leave tails on
  • ½cupall purpose flour
  • 1tspsalt
  • ½tsppepper
  • ¼tspgarlic powder
  • 3eggs,beaten
  • cupsPanko breadcrumbs
  • oil,for frying
  • lemon wedges,for garnish, optional
  • parsley,for garnish, optional
  • cocktail sauce,for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the flour in a medium-size bowl along with the salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir to combine.

  2. Place the eggs in a second bowl, then the breadcrumbs in a third bowl.

  3. Dip each shrimp first into the flour, then into the egg, then roll them in the breadcrumbs to coat evenly.

  4. Place each breaded shrimp on a sheet pan. Repeat the process until all the shrimp are breaded.

  5. Heat 3 inches of oil in a deep large pot to 350 degrees F.

  6. Add 6 shrimps at a time, then cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

  7. Repeat the process with the remaining shrimp.

  8. Place the shrimp on a plate, then serve with cocktail sauce and garnish with lemon wedges and parsley. Enjoy!
