How To Make Lemongrass Fried Rice

Making this Lemongrass Fried Rice recipe is easy and fun at the same time. The lemon juice adds a tangy flavor to your fried rice with the combination of lemongrass and fresh ginger.

  • vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • ½ tbsp garlic, minced
  • ½ tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 stalks lemongrass, minced, white only
  • 4 cups cooked rice
  • 1 lemon juice


  1. In a large nonstick skillet heat a little bit of oil.

  2. Sauté the onions, garlic, ginger, and lemongrass till they soften-don't brown.

  3. Add the rice and sauté all for about 5 minutes till heated through.

  4. Add the lemon juice and salt if desired.

  5. Serve with chicken or seafood.
