Turkey-Cranberry Wontons Recipe

This quick and easy appetizer recipe will help you use your leftover turkey and cranberry sauce. Plus they are low-cal and low-fat.

How To Make Turkey-Cranberry Wontons

Crispy and crunchy wontons filled with turkey meat and cranberries.

  • 2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or canned whole berry)
  • 1 ½ cup turkey (skin and bones removed, chopped cooked )
  • 16 oz wonton wrappers (package)
  • 1 medium onion (peeled and finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (lite ok)
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Dipping Sauce

  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or canned whole berry)
  • 1 tbsp prepared white horseradish (drained)

For dipping sauce

  1. In a small bowl combine cranberry sauce with horseradish.
  2. Stir to blend.
  3. Cover and refrigerate until needed.

For wontons

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a small bowl, combine cranberry sauce, turkey, onion and soy sauce.
  4. Mix until well combined.
  5. Lay 1 wonton wrapper on a smooth, dry surface.
  6. Spoon 1 rounded tbsp. of filling in the center of wonton.
  7. Lightly brush the edges of wonton with cold water.
  8. Bring two opposite corners of wonton together and press to seal.
  9. Place wonton triangle on prepared baking sheet.
  10. Continue with remaining filling and wonton wrappers.
  11. Lightly spray each wonton with cooking spray.
  12. Bake until wontons are crisp and light brown, about 12-15 minute.
  13. Remove from oven and transfer wontons to a serving platter.
  14. Serve immediately with dipping sauce.
