How To Make Fried Tequila Shots

Serve a boozy snack with these fried tequila shots. It’s made of tequila-soaked cake pieces fried until golden, then dusted with powdered sugar.

Ingredients

  • vegetable oil
  • ½cuptequila
  • 1lime,juiced
  • 1angel food cake,store bought, cut into cubes
  • ¼cuppowdered sugar
  • 1tbsplime zest

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, over medium heat, pour vegetable oil at least 3-inch high in the pan. Heat oil.

  2. Mix tequila and lime juice.

  3. Dip each cake cube into the tequila mixture, then fry for 2 minutes until golden.

  4. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.

  5. Garnish with powdered sugar and lime zest and serve.
