Crockpot Beef Roast with Potatoes and Carrots Recipe

A can of coke gives the beef roast a sweet, brown sugar to taste. Have the ingredients cooked in the crockpot for a couple of hours and you’ll be able to serve up a feast during family dinners and potlucks.

Ingredients

  • 4 lb beef roast
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 can coke
  • 1/2 tbsp ketchup
  • 6 medium potatoes, peeled and cut up
  • 1 lb carrots , peeled and cut up
  • 1 cup celery, diced

Instructions

  1. Spray the inside of the crockpot with a nonstick spray.  Place roast in the pot, sprinkle with dry onion soup mix and add water. Other spices can be added according to taste preferences.

  2. Cover and cook the roast on low for 3 hours. Add coke to crockpot after three hours and continue cooking on low. After five hours, add ketchup, potatoes, carrots and celery. Continue cooking on low for 8-10 hours.
