How To Make Gochujang-Glazed Salmon

Enjoy this Korean-style glazed salmon brushed with gochujang that adds a sweet and spicy twist to the dish. It’s broiled then served with sesame seeds.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • cooking spray
  • 1lbwild salmon filets,(16 oz)

For the Gochujang Glaze:

  • 1tbspgochujang
  • 2tspmirin
  • 2tspsoy sauce
  • 2tspsugar
  • ½tsptoasted sesame oil
  • 1clovessmall garlic,minced
  • ½tspfresh ginger

For Serving:

  • scallions,sliced thin on an angle
  • black sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Combine glaze ingredients together in a small bowl.

  2. Preheat the broiler on high and position the rack 4 to 5 inches from the heat. Line the broiler pan with foil and spray lightly with oil.

  3. Put the salmon on the prepared sheet and season with salt. Broil for 2 minutes.

  4. Brush the salmon with glaze and broil for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on the thickness, until the desired doneness.

  5. Transfer to a platter and top with sesame seeds and scallions. Serve with rice if desired.
