How To Make Broiled Salmon Fillets

  • 4tbspextra-virgin olive oil
  • 1tbsplemon juice
  • 1tbspsoy sauce
  • 2tsplemon zest
  • ½tspblack pepper
  • salt and,to taste
  • 4salmon fillets,(6 oz each)
  • 1tbspfresh parsley,minced, to garnish


  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, lemon zest, and black pepper.

  2. Gently season the salmon filets with salt and pepper to taste. Add in the salmon, toss to combine and evenly coat.

  3. Adjust the oven rack 6-inches from the top and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.

  4. Add the salmon, skin side down, to the baking sheet.

  5. Broil for about 8 to 12 minutes or until the salmon has reached your desired doneness.

  6. Sprinkle with parsley before serving.

Recipe Notes

  • The shape of the salmon fillet will determine how long it needs to be cooked. A thicker fillet will need a longer time, while a thinner and flatter fillet will need less time.
  • The salmon should be slightly translucent in the center and flakes easily with a fork.
