How To Make Grilled Potatoes in Foil

Butter, onion, salt, and pepper make these grilled potatoes so delectable, having the right amount of crispness and an irresistible smoky flavor.

Preparation: 20 minutes
Cooking: 30 minutes
Total: 50 minutes
Serves:

Ingredients

  • 3lbspotatoes,cut ¼-inch slices, unpeeled
  • 1small onion,thinly
  • 3tbspbutter
  • salt and pepper,to taste

For Optional Toppings:

  • mushrooms
  • real bacon bits
  • cheese

Instructions

  1. Place foil packets on the counter and spray with cooking spray.

  2. Wash and slice potatoes (and onions/mushrooms if using).

  3. Place potato slices (approximately 1 potato per packet) and any optional toppings on each foil piece. Top with a generous pat of butter and salt/pepper to taste. Fold each packet closed.

  4. Grill over medium heat for about 30 minutes or until soft.
