How To Make Grilled Mushrooms Stuffed with Basil and Blue Cheese Butter

A creamy combination of blue cheese and fresh basil fill these tasty grilled mushrooms that are perfect with steak or burgers.

Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 5 minutes
Total: 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 6ozbutton mushrooms,stemmed
  • 1tbspolive oil,or as needed
  • ½cupblue cheese,crumbled
  • 2tbspbutter
  • 2clovesgarlic,minced
  • 1tbspfresh basil,chopped
  • salt and ground black pepper,to taste

Instructions

  1. Coat tops of mushrooms with olive oil. Place mushrooms top-down in a grill-safe dish.

  2. Mix blue cheese, butter, garlic, basil, salt, and pepper thoroughly in a bowl. Scoop evenly into the mushroom caps.

  3. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate. Cook mushrooms for about 5 minutes, until tender and heated through.
