This recipe bring a new meaning to that classic baked potato. These sliced and buttered potatoes are tender, garlicky, and dusted with Parmesan.

How To Make Tender Garlic Parmesan Sliced Baked Potato Recipe

  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 8 potatoes (sliced crosswise ¾ way through)
  • 6 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 stick butter (melted)
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese (shredded)
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Coat bottom of a cast iron skillet with oil and place in sliced potatoes.

  3. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.

  4. Pour evenly over potatoes.

  5. Cover with foil and bake for one hour, remove foil, sprinkle with cheese, and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
