This party potatoes recipe is enough reason to celebrate on its own. This creamy, cheesy dish can be made ahead of time and it will still be great.

Ingredients

  • 4 cup mashed potatoes, (about 8 to 10 large) or 4 cups prepared instant potatoes
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 fl oz cream cheese, 1 package, softened
  • 1 tsp chives, minced
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine potatoes, sour cream, cream cheese, chives and garlic powder. Turn into a greased 2-quart casserole. Combine bread crumbs with butter; sprinkle over potatoes.

  2. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50 to 60 minutes. Top with cheese and serve immediately.
