Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 3 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp of ground nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. Roll out puff pastry and transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. In a bowl, mix together sliced pears, brown sugar, nutmeg, and melted butter.

  4. Spread the pear mixture over the puff pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.

  5. Brush the border with the beaten egg.

  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

  7. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
