A delicious meat-free burger made with hearty portobello mushrooms, avocado, and all your favorite toppings!

Ingredients

  • 4 large portobello mushrooms, stems removed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • Sliced red onion
  • Sliced tomato

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Brush the mushroom caps with the olive oil mixture and place them on the grill, gill-side down.

  4. Grill for 5-7 minutes on each side, until tender and juicy.

  5. Assemble the burgers with the mushroom caps, lettuce leaves, sliced avocado, red onion, and tomato slices.

  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
