  • 4 catfish fillets
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup prepared salsa

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet over high heat.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, thyme, oregano, and salt.

  3. Rub the mixture onto both sides of the catfish fillets.

  4. Add vegetable oil into the skillet.

  5. Cook the catfish fillets for 3-4 minutes per side, until blackened and cooked through.

  6. Serve hot, topped with salsa.
