This zingy punch is made from wonderfully potent and spicy red tea; it is also excellent without the rum.

How To Make Zingy Red Punch

A wonderful simple recipe for red punch, but it's definitely packed full of flavor. This punch has a Red Zinger tea base then infused with spices for a fuller and deeper flavor. It's the perfect drink at any time of the day!

Ingredients

  • 6 cups water
  • 2 tbsp ginger, about 2x1-inch piece, peeled and thinly sliced
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 cloves, whole
  • 10 Celestial Seasonings Red Zinger tea bags
  • ½ cup amber rum, chilled
  • 2 oranges, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a heavy medium saucepan bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the ginger, sugar, cinnamon sticks, and cloves.
  3. Return to a boil and stir until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat and immediately add the tea bags.
  5. Let sit until the tea is cool.
  6. Remove the tea bags and chill overnight.
  7. Before serving, add the rum and citrus slices.
