Whip up a warm hot buttered rum to keep you warm on those cold winter nights! It’s rich, flavorful, and can be assembled in just under an hour.

Ingredients

  • 1lbbutter
  • 1lbbrown sugar
  • 1lbconfectioners’ sugar
  • 4cupsvanilla ice cream,1 quart, softened
  • 1tbspground cinnamon
  • 1tspground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat.

  2. Blend in the brown sugar and confectioners’ sugar.

  3. Remove from heat, then whisk in the ice cream, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

  4. Pour mixture into a plastic container, seal, and freeze.

  5. In a coffee mug, measure 1 tablespoon of the batter and 1 fluid ounce of rum, then fill the cup with boiling water.

  6. Stir, and sprinkle the top of the drink with nutmeg.

  7. Serve, and enjoy!
