Enjoy a light and tasty twist to cold days with this Grapefruit and Rosemary Honey Cocktail mixed with vodka, fresh grapefruit juice, lemon, and rosemary.

Ingredients

  • 2ozruby red grapefruit juice,fresh, 1 grapefruit yields 6 to 8 of juice
  • ozStoli vodka,or gin
  • ½small lemon,juiced
  • ½ozsimple honey syrup
  • 2inchrosemary,sprig
  • pinchsea salt
  • 3inchrosemary,sprig, to garnish

For simple honey syrup:

  • ¼cuphoney
  • ¼cupwater

Instructions

Simple Honey Syrup:

  1. Pour the honey and water into a small saucepan and warm over medium heat. Use a whisk to blend the honey into the water and remove from heat (there is no need to bring the mixture to a simmer, this process should only take a couple of minutes).

Cocktail:

  1. Fill a small cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in the grapefruit juice, vodka, lemon juice, and simple honey syrup. Top with a sprig of rosemary, and a pinch of salt. Put on the lid and shake for about 20 seconds until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.

  2. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a small sprig of rosemary. Serve immediately.
