How to Make Blood and Sand Cocktail

Indulge in a bizarre drink called the blood and sand cocktail. It is a mix of sweet vermouth, cherry liqueur, and orange juice.

Ingredients

  • 3⁄4 fl oz scotch
  • 3⁄4 fl oz sweet vermouth
  • 3⁄4 fl oz Heering cherry liqueur
  • 3⁄4 fl oz orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • orange peel, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add the scotch, sweet vermouth, cherry liqueur and orange juice into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
  2. Strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass.
  3. Garnish with an orange peel.
