Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • ½ cup malted milk powder
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Blueberries, in-season

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the milk, egg yolks, sugar, and salt into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Gradually add cornstarch and continue to whisk until the mixture is smooth.

  3. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  4. Remove the pan from heat when bubbles begin to pop.
  5. Stir in butter and vanilla.
  6. Divide the mixture into two bowls and whisk the cocoa powder into one of the bowls.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap touching the top layer.
  8. Allow the pudding to cool for at least 4 hours in the fridge.
  9. Alternate chocolate and vanilla layers in dessert glasses and top each with a layer of blueberries.
