How To Make Swedish Rice Pudding
Ingredients
- ½ cup rice
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp margarine , or oil
- 4 ½ cup milk
- ½ cup sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions

Cook a half cup of rice in water with salt and oil. Bring to a boil, while stirring constantly.

Once done but not dry, lower the heat, then add milk and sugar.

In a bowl, beat eggs. Scoop some of the hot mixture into the eggs while stirring. Add vanilla. Then, combine all of the mixture together.

Pour the mixture into the baking dish of about 2 1/2 quart size.Â

Place dish in pan with water in the bottom.

Bake at 250 degrees for 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours. Take out in the oven once the top lifts in the center.
