How To Make Rhubarb Pie

A wonderful summer recipe for delicious rhubarb pie! Enjoy a delicate buttery pie crust with a sweet and slightly tart rhubarb filling. Surely a dessert treat that anyone could enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rhubarb
  • 1 ½ tbsp flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • pinch salt
  • 4 eggs
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 1 pie shell, unbaked

Instructions

  1. Cut up rhubarb into ½-inch pieces.

  2. Mix together flour, sugar, salt, eggs, buttermilk and orange juice.
  3. Add rhubarb and pour into unbaked pie shell.
  4. Bake for 1 hour.
  5. Top with ice cream, if you'd like.
