How To Make Coconut and Walnut Bars

These coconut and walnut bars are delectable sweet treats similar to butter tarts, with a slightly crisp golden-brown crust and a tender and moist center!

Ingredients

  • cupsall purpose flour
  • 2tbspbrown sugar
  • ½cupwhite sugar
  • ½cupbutter
  • cupsbrown sugar,packed
  • 2eggs,beaten
  • 1cupcoconut,flaked
  • ½cupwalnuts,chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.

  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, and white sugar.

  3. Cut in the ½ cup of butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Pat into the bottom of the prepared pan.

  4. In the same bowl, stir together the eggs and brown sugar, stir in the coconut and walnuts until everything is gooey.

  5. Spread the batter evenly over the crust layer.

  6. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes, until golden brown.

  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
