How To Make Homemade Ice Cream In A Bag
This yummy Homemade Ice Cream in a Bag is a 5 ingredient recipe where you can easily whip up a bag of decadent ice cream in the comforts of your own home. It's truly a versatile dish with the freedom to add in your desired toppings on a creamy ice cream made from scratch!
Ingredients
- 1 cup half and half, or milk, or chilled canned coconut milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract, (omit if using coconut milk)
- 2 tsp sugar
- 4 cups ice
- 4 tbsp rock salt
For the Toppings:
- mini chocolate chips, optional
- peanut butter, drizzle in and optional
- cocoa powder, omit vanilla and optional
Instructions

Pour the milk and vanilla extract into a quart sized Ziploc bag. Add in the sugar.

In a gallon sized ziploc bag, fill it with ice. Add the rock salt to the ice bag and shake it up a bit.

Zip the bag of milk and place it into the bag of ice. Tightly seal the bag of ice.

Shake for 5 minutes until the milk has hardened.

Remove the milk bag and sprinkle in the toppings.
