How To Make Tangerine Chicken Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless chicken breast, cut into thin strips
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup fresh tangerine juice
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss chicken strips with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.

  2. In a wok or large frying pan, heat vegetable oil over high heat.

  3. Add chicken strips and cook until golden brown, stirring occasionally, for about 5-7 minutes.

  4. Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.

  5. Add bell pepper, onion, and garlic to the same pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

  6. Add tangerine juice, soy sauce, and honey. Stir to combine.

  7. Add cornstarch mixture and stir until the sauce thickens.

  8. Add cooked chicken back into the pan and toss until coated with sauce.

  9. Serve with cooked rice and top with green onions.
