How To Make Strawberry Banana Gelatin Salad

Delight in this creamy, gelatin-based dessert infused with fresh banana and strawberry bits. An indulgent course you can easily make ahead of time!

  • 6 oz strawberry gelatin powder
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 10 oz strawberries, partially thawed and sweetened
  • 20 oz pineapple, crushed and undrained
  • 1 cup banana, mashed
  • ¾ cup walnuts, chopped
  • 16 oz sour cream
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract


  1. In a bowl, dissolve the gelatin in the water.

  2. Stir in the strawberries, pineapple, bananas and nuts.

  3. Pour half of the mixture into a 13x9x2 dish. Refrigerate the mixture for one hour or until set.

  4. Set the remaining gelatin mixture aside.

  5. Then, combine the sour cream, sugar and vanilla. Mix well.

  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the chilled gelatin.

  7. Spoon remaining gelatin mixture over top. Let it chill overnight.

  8. Garnish with more walnuts, banana and strawberry slices on top and enjoy a sweet each bite of a berry-filled salad!
