Strawberry Applesauce Melon Wedges Recipe

How To Make Strawberry Applesauce Melon Wedges

This sweet gelatin dessert makes a nice finishing tip to make melon wedges even more flavorful and interesting.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 4 cups Strawberry flavored gelatin, (1 pkg)
  • 8 oz plain yogurt
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 2 medium cantaloupe , or honeydew

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat applesauce until boiling.
  2. Stir in gelatin.
  3. Chill until very thick but not set, about 15 minutes.
  4. Stir in yogurt.
  5. Beat at highest speed until doubled in volume.
  6. Stir in strawberries.
  7. Cut melons in half; remove seeds and pat dry with paper towels.
  8. Spoon whipped mixture into melon halves. Chill until firm.
  9. To serve, cut each half; garnish as desired.
