This apple snow recipe is perfect for those who love light desserts. The fluffy meringue is used as a topping for a tasty and sweetened apple which is baked until golden.

Ingredients

  • 6 large apples, peeled cored and chopped
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg white

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, combine apples and water then cook, covered over low heat, until frothy for 15 to 30 minutes.

  2. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and vanilla.

  3. Let cool.

  4. In a medium bowl, whip the egg white until stiff peaks form.

  5. Fold into the cooled apple mixture. Serve.
