This double-chocolate custard is for the choco-holics. It’s topped with a sweet and light cocoa frosting. You’ll be enchanted to take a spoonful of this custard dessert.


How To Make Chocolate Custard

Ingredients

For Custard:

  • 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup milk, scalded
  • 1/2 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled

For Frosting:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 pint whipping cream
  • 1 tsp cocoa
  • vanilla, few drops

Instructions

  1. For custard, combine sugar and flour in a bowl. Beat into eggs gradually. Beat chocolate into egg mixture.

  2. Add to scalded milk in double boiler and cook, stirring often until thickened. Add vanilla into the mixture and let the mixture cool completely in the fridge for 4-6 hours

  3. For frosting, sift together sugar and cocoa. Whip the cream using an electric mixer until frothy. Gradually beat in sugar mixture. Add vanilla. Frost custard for 4-6 hours as well before topping it over your custard
