How To Make Lavender-Vanilla Bean Rice Krispie Treats

Stretchy, and buttery, these rice Krispie treats made with lavender and vanilla bean are highlighted by stringy marshmallows for a fancy take on the treats.

  • ¼cupsalted butter,diced into 1 tbsp pieces
  • tspculinary lavender,dried, finely chopped
  • 1Seeds of vanilla bean
  • 10ozminiature marshmallows,(1 bag)
  • 6cupsrice krispies cereal


  1. Melt butter along with lavender and vanilla bean seeds in a large non-stick saucepan over medium-low heat.

  2. Add in marshmallows and cook, stirring constantly until melted. Remove from heat and fold in Rice Krispies cereal.

  3. Spread into a buttered 9×9-inch baking sheet.

  4. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to rest at room temperature until set, about 20 to 30 minutes.

  5. Cut into squares. Serve and enjoy.
