How To Make Apple Cranberry Crumble

Serve this light yet filling cranberry crumble made with cranberries and cinnamon then topped with oats, nuts, and a touch of brown sugar to complete.

Ingredients

For Filling:

  • 3cupspeeled gala apples,sliced, about 4
  • 1cupfresh cranberries
  • 1tbspflour,or cornstarch for gluten-free
  • ½tspCinnamon
  • cuppure maple syrup
  • Cooking spray

For Topping:

  • ¾cupdry quick-cooking oats,check lables for gluten-free
  • ¼cuplight brown sugar,packed
  • 1tbspall-purpose flour,or gluten-free flour mix
  • 3tbspwhipped butter,melted, or dairy free butter
  • ¼cupwalnuts,chopped, or pecans
  • ¼tspsalt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

  2. Lightly spray a 9-inch square baking dish with cooking spray.

  3. Combine apples and cranberries along with the rest of the filling ingredients in a bowl.

  4. Pour into a baking dish and even out with a spoon.

  5. In another bowl, combine the topping ingredients. Sprinkle over the apple or cranberry mixture.

  6. Bake uncovered for 55 to 60 minutes or until browned and bubbly. Serve warm.
