How To Make Salted Caramel Chocolate Cookies

Soft and moist chocolate cookies mixed with melted salted caramel candies result in this sweet and salty treat that is filled with umami flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1cupbutter,(2 sticks)
  • cupswhite sugar
  • 2eggs
  • 2tspvanilla extract
  • 2cupsall-purpose flour
  • cupunsweetened cocoa powder,or dark chocolate cocoa powder
  • ¾tspbaking soda
  • ½tspsalt
  • 11ozKraft caramel bits,(1 bag)
  • 1cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips,or dark chocolate
  • coarse sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt and stir into the butter mixture until well blended.

  3. Mix in the caramel bits and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.

  4. Press each cookie down slightly to flatten, then sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt.

  5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or just until set.

  6. Cool slightly on the cookie sheets before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

  7. Serve and enjoy!
