How To Make Loaded Chocolate Chip Cookies

With crisp edges and a chewy center, these chocolate chip cookies make chunky loaded treats with a mix of rice cereal, oats, and tons of chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 1cupshortening
  • 1cupwhite sugar
  • ½cupbrown sugar
  • ½cuphoney
  • 2eggs
  • 1tspvanilla extract
  • 2cupsall purpose flour
  • 1tspbaking soda
  • 1tspsalt
  • ½cupcrispy rice cereal
  • ½cuprolled oats
  • 1cupjumbo semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1cupmilk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease the cookie sheets.

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the shortening, white sugar, brown sugar, and honey until smooth. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.

  3. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. Using a wooden spoon, stir in the oats, cereal, jumbo chocolate chips, and milk chocolate chips.

  4. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.

  5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden.

  6. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool completely.

  7. Serve and enjoy.
