How To Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Energy Bites

These energy bites are loaded with healthy protein, making them the perfect after-workout snack! Whip up this naturally sweetened treat in just under an hour.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1cupoatmeal,dry, like old-fashioned oats
  • cupcoconut flakes,toasted, unsweetened
  • ½cuppeanut butter
  • ½cupground flax seed
  • cuphoney,or agave nectar
  • ¼cupunsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1tbspseeds,optional
  • 1tspvanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Stir the oatmeal, coconut flakes, peanut butter, flax seed, honey, cocoa powder, seeds and vanilla extract in a medium bowl until thoroughly mixed.

  2. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  3. Once chilled, roll into balls of 1-inch diameter or desired size.

  4. Serve, and enjoy!

  • If the mix seems to dry, add in an extra 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey or peanut butter. If the mix seems too wet, add extra oatmeal.
