These are my husband and my son’s favorite cookies. They puff up in the oven and as they cool they flatten and get chewy.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cup self-rising flour
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup peanut butter chips
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup nuts, as desired

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well.
  4. Sift together flour and cocoa. Gradually add to the butter mixture and beat until well blended.
  5. Fold in the nuts, peanut butter chips, and chocolate chips.
  6. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 8 to 9 minutes until lightly browned.
  8. Let it cool on the cookie sheet and serve these Chewy Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies!
