  • cups all-purpose flour
  • cups granulated sugar, plus more for rolling
  • oz unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Sift together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.

  3. In a mixing bowl attached to a hand beater, cream the sugar and butter together for roughly 5 to 7 minutes, until pale and fluffy.

  4. Fold the dry ingredients into your wet ingredients until evenly incorporated.

  5. Cover and set the dough aside in a chilled area for roughly 1 hour.

  6. Portion your cookie dough into 2 ounce balls using a scooper. Roll your cookie balls on granulated sugar then place these onto your baking sheet, inches apart from each other.

  7. Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes.
