Homemade Chocolate Truffles Recipe

Truffles are normally hard to make but this will be a simplified version. This orange-flavored homemade chocolate truffles recipe can be made alcoholic or non-alcoholic depending on your preference.


How To Make Homemade Chocolate Truffles

Ingredients

  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup orange-flavored liqueur , or 1 tsp. orange extract
  • 1 can chocolate frosting, or fudge frosting
  • Chocolate sprinkles, or coconut, ground nuts and cocoa for toppings

Instructions

  1. Melt chocolate chips in a medium-sized saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly.

  2. Remove from heat. Stir in orange liqueur and frosting and blend well.

  3. Refrigerate 1-2 hours or until firm.

  4. Place the sprinkles or any other toppings in a pie pan. Scoop mixture into 1" balls and roll the balls in the topping to coat evenly.

  5. Place in foil candy cups if desired and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
