Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup roasted peanuts
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Instructions

  1. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine sugar and corn syrup over medium-high heat.

  2. Cook, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches a dark amber color.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in peanuts, butter, and vanilla extract.

  4. Quickly stir in baking soda until the mixture is light and foamy.

  5. Pour the mixture onto a greased baking sheet and spread evenly.

  6. Let it cool for 10-15 minutes before breaking it into pieces.
